In most places it’s Fall season but here in San Diego it’s March and summer is just about here. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and soon our 65 degree temp will be in the 80’s. It’s been a spectacular season for viewing both California Grey whales and dolphins. Most every trip from February though March we’ve had great encounters. Still another month to catch the Grey’s then in about June - September

Six bidders submitted plans Tuesday to redevelop 57 acres of land and water on Harbor Island, across from Lindbergh Field. One team proposes a $2 billion aquarium and vertical farm complex. Another wants to build a local history dinner theater.

The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is an annual time-honored holiday tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community.The parade takes place on San Diego Bay with more than 80 boats lavishly decorated to a new theme each year. On Tuesday, the San Diego Unified Port District Board chose the Brigantine Restaurants to take over the iconic waterfront location currently occupied by Anthony’s Fish Grotto. The Board voted 4-2 (with one abstention) to begin negotiations with Brigantine for a long term lease to commence following the January 2017 expiration of the current Anthony’s lease. Anthony’s had been in the location since 1946.
